The Body is from Stephen King's collection of four novellas entitled Different Seasons and became the movie Stand By Me. The collection also includes Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption which of course became the movie The Shawshank Redemption. The two movies together received 4 Golden Globe nominations and 7 Academy Award nominations. Not bad for one book of short stories.

Leniverse @Cinfhen I'm not willing to risk my children scorning The Breakfast Club (even if I did hate semi-goth girl's pink makeover), so I'm saving it for when they are the right age. 13-16 is the perfect age for that movie, I think. 7y
Cinfhen It was 5 1/2 years ago that we had a family #staycation at a friend's lake house. My daughter was 19 and my boys were 17 & 10( what can I say third child) we made them watch a ton of movies from our youth! They tolerated Ferris Bueller's Day Off, can't buy me love & coming to America @Leniverse 7y
