Good one! I bought it a long time ago because I read some other books by this author that I enjoyed.

Last year, at a Christmas party, I got a calendar with Shakespearean insults as a white elephant gift. It's been amusing so far.

Having the unimaginable done to you. Doing the unthinkable. That‘s what this book is about. It‘s about seeing your family members as they truly are. Yourself too for that matter. It takes looking at the past with eyes relaxed to a blur to see it, vague at first then shockingly clear. Set on a farm where you want bounty and nostalgia, you find only debt and darkness.
1. Yes, in high school and I immediately regretted it and felt horrible. He didn't want to be my friend after that, but we talked it out eventually.
2. “Fool“ by Christopher Moore. I remember laughing out loud reading this book.

1. My officemates and I play all kinds of practical jokes on each other. We have saran wrapped desks, changed languages and screen orientation on computers, and we have rubber band and nerf gun wars. One person even did the stapler in the jello from The Office.
2. Pocket from Fool by Christopher Moore immediately came to mind when I saw this prompt. What a great character and book.
Happy Tuesday!

I'm unbelievably excited to be seeing one of my all-time favorite actors, Paul Gross, in King Lear today at the Stratford Festival. I'd been saving his episodes on the Outrageous Fortune podcast for the drive up, and I'm so glad I did. Listening to him talk about the play, and the struggles and rewards of making art more generally, was the perfect teaser for the performance and made me unexpectedly emotional more than once. #SeeMoreTheatre
