Hit the comic store today for #NCBD and picked up the tagged book. Super excited to continue the story and spend more time with Ferris‘ exquisite art. This is a great graphic novel, one that transcends the medium, that tells a really complex, compelling story.

It‘s #NCBD and that means there‘s more Gert out in the world because today is the day for Vol. 6: Last Gert Standing! 😍 Skottie signed my copy with his usual flair... Love. It. So looking forward to spending some quality time with Gert this week!

#NCBD! Tagged book wasn‘t even on my radar until Junot Diaz gave it a rave review in the NYT yesterday. Picked it up along with some Skottie Young, lots of Star Wars and a few other random things. Good haul today.

Oops, I went to pick up my comics because it‘s #NCBD and somehow found myself in a bookstore along the way. 😬 So, umm, yeah…I came home with a few comics, a few books, and a whole lot of good reading!

#NCBD and the tagged book is a definite highlight. Also, lots of Star Wars, Love Everlasting, Dark Knights of Steel (superheroes in medieval times), a new Fence comic and a Skottie Young variant. So much fun reading!

Big pull for #NCBD today. Three awesome variant covers—Jenny Frison for the tagged comic (I am never not awkward when I see her at conventions but will I once again be awkward as I ask her to sign this amazing cover? Yes, definitely.) and then two by Skottie Young (yay Groot!!!). Love Everlasting, Radiant Black, Moon Knight, a DC freebie and then more Star Wars than I think I‘ve ever gotten in one week. So much good reading!

Epic, “oh no you didn‘t” conclusion to Strange Academy Finals out today—a comic that began with Skottie late night texting the chief editor of Marvel about “a magic school set in the Marvel universe” idea he had. Super fun comic. #NCBD also features some Star Wars, Dead Romans (gorgeous, moody art), final issue of the Image anthology, a Skottie variant and the start of James Tynion‘s latest horror story—which starts fast and does not let up.

#NCBD and I‘m most excited about the new Expanse comic. Looking forward to spending more time in this world. Rainbow Rowell‘s She-Hulk run continues to be a lot of fun and Jen Barrel‘s covers are just killing it. Likewise, the Wonder Woman variant is cool. A couple of Star Wars comics and House of Slaughter round out today‘s haul.

I mean, how could I not want to read this. Murder + a British cooking show?!? Excited about this one! 🔪👩‍🍳🇬🇧

#NCBD and this month‘s I Hate Fairyland is EPIC. It comes with a link to a song, written specifically for this issue, you can listen to while reading the comic. It‘s very cool and a lot of fun! And that ending…can‘t wait for #6!
