I remember this book being all the rage when it first came out and for years after. I thought it was just ok. I did get a little bored at parts but the end wrapped up nicely. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The title is absolutely misleading and the author could have done so much better. However, the book is a fun read. The story revolves around immigrant punjabi widows in London who wanted to learn and write English from Nikki but somehow ended up writing erotic stories.
You would not believe the twists and turns such a simple plot could have. A definite page turner (especially when you skim through the stories) and a wholesome fun read.

I remember this book on Reese Witherspoon‘s Book Club several years ago. Finally getting around to the books with no library holds.
Wish I could stay up extra late finishing this one. (It‘s already midnight.)
This was easy and fun. I really liked how it was set in London but in a very different version of London than usually. The story was slightly different than I expected but still a nice read.
I picked this up to read about Punjabi widows telling erotic stories and it delivered. I was surprised by where else the plot went, did not see the crime aspect coming but I really liked it. It was funny but serious and sweet and sad, so much depth in these characters. Really enjoyed this.
