Yes, she is reading up there. 🙂 I used to read up trees all the time as a kid, and it makes me happy. 😍 Although she upped my game — I always used to climb with the book in my shirt. She built a pulley, and climbs up first, and then hauls her book up in a bucket. 📚🧺 #raisingreaders

BarbaraJean Love this—and a pulley system for her book? So ingenious! I used to sit in trees and read when I was a kid, too. But I‘d always reach up and wedge the book in a cleft of the tree before climbing and grabbing it on my way up. I miss that tree. 😊 5y

Kaye My reading tree in our front yard was my hideout. It had a perfect V to sit in. I was always reprimanded for reading so much and told to put the book down. Don‘t read at the table , go out and play , get your nose out of that book and go find something else to do. So my tree was my reading hideout. 5y

It was especially fun when someone was looking for me, practically under the tree, and couldn't find me 😉 The book bucket is taking it to a whole new level! 5y
