Hello #LitsyCrafters

I've been thinking about 2024 & how to move forward with the group. This year has been a tough one for me & I feel like I haven't been a good host or participant. I'm wondering how you all feel about the group. Do you like the monthly themes? Is there something else you would prefer? What would you like to get out of the group? Do you want the #LitsyCrafters group to continue or just have the tag live on by itself?

mcctrish I haven‘t participated much ( at all) and I totally want to. I joined late in the game and then summer got away from me and now I‘m teaching full time ( I meant to supply only and have time for crafty things, it‘s a long story) and now I‘m so tired and hoping this will be here when I‘m finally not exhausted and can do crafts 13mo
LiseWorks I do crafts for my markets but forget to post them., I did find that I couldn't do the monthly ones this year as they were not my cup of tea. I do enjoy looking at what other people do, though, when they post stuff. 13mo
Allylu I am inspired by the monthly themes and I have tried to participate, but sometimes I don‘t get a chance to post pictures. I do appreciate all you have done and the creative ideas you share with us. I will try to do better next year! 💕 13mo
psalva I haven‘t been participating much but I do enjoy the themes. They remind me to keep using/actively looking for the hashtag. Nonetheless, if it‘s easier to keep the generic tag going, that would be okay with me, especially since I‘m not too active with my own posts. 13mo
CurvyCrochetGirl I forget to post a lot. I like the monthly themes! I will try to get better at posting! 13mo
CatLass007 I just joined the group in October, so this is the first monthly theme in which I‘m participating. I am so excited about the November theme. The two cross stitch projects I mentioned in the announcement post have been found and they may be the only cross stitch projects I‘ll be working on for the rest of this year and maybe all of next year. 13mo
CrowCAH I know I haven‘t participated lately with crafty posts, since I don‘t have much time anymore. But I like you monthly themes! They‘re good reminders to keep my projects in mind. 13mo
Chrissyreadit This is always inspiring to me. This entire year has been a dumpster fire for me in every aspect of personal hobbies but i love the themes and very much intend to participate any time i can and it is offered. You are amazing and i‘m so grateful to the work you put into building community ❤️ 13mo
kwmg40 I'm afraid that I'm a very sporadic participant, but I enjoy seeing what others create! 13mo
Kenyazero I haven‘t been able to participate lately but I like seeing the prompts and knowing the group is here! 13mo
Lindy I enjoy seeing what others post, and sometimes remember to post my own creations, but I haven‘t been making an attempt to work within the monthly themes. 13mo
julesG I check the # sometimes to see what others have made. I haven't created anything following the monthly topics in a while. Maybe just keep the #. 13mo
rockpools Unhelpful answer, but whatever works best for you! I love seeing the themes, and thinking about what I *could* do. But my grand plans to get back to regular crafting have spectacularly not happened, so I‘m not an active participant. I do enjoy seeing what others are making - thank you for making #litsycrafters a thing, whichever direction you decide to go in! 13mo
Meshell1313 I agree- love seeing everyone‘s creations. I also have not been knitting as much as I would‘ve liked. I‘m down for anything that works best for you! 🩷 13mo
bookandbedandtea First, I want to thank you for organizing this group. I've only been involved for a couple months but I love knowing it's there. 💜 As for the monthly themes, I haven't followed them but can see how they could be inspiring...I agree with someone above who said to do what's easiest for you! 13mo
Roary47 A agree that you should do what‘s best for you. I haven‘t participated much either because life! The prompts are fun, and something I could get my kids on so we can participate more. 13mo
Booksblanketsandahotbeverage Definitely do what‘s best for you! I like seeing everyone‘s crafts and it‘s fun to post about something other than books. 13mo
Clwojick Thanks for hosting! I do love the idea of this challenge, & started of the year sharing my crafts and colouring. I had good intentions of continuing, but my participation slowed down as the months passed. I‘d love to get back into it next year, since I love having something to keep my hands busy while I listen to audiobooks. The themes were fun, but I‘d be open to just keeping it theme free too.😊 Hoping to join in 2024 regardless! 13mo
Clwojick If you want to keep it simple, but also want to add themes you could always have a list of themes or prompts people could attempt as an added challenge, but not a monthly requirement. There were times I was going to share my crafts, but realized they didn‘t fit the monthly prompt so I didn‘t bother. Just a thought 💖😆 13mo
julieclair I love this group and participate when I can (which isn't as often as I would like). But it's so fun to see what others make. I have not been very active on Discord, as I already spend too much time on Litsy each day! 😂 The monthly themes haven't really worked for me, as I always have other projects I am working on. 13mo
julieclair I did enjoy the monthly "type of craft" prompts we did a year or so ago, such as cross stitch, paper craft, etc. They inspired me to try some new types of crafts. Many thanks to you, Leila, for creating this awesome group! 13mo
Larkken I enjoy the group, and enjoy seeing what others post but I've been in a crafting slump myself I guess so maybe I don't post as much as I could or should. I appreciate whatever level of input you feel up to! (edited) 13mo
slategreyskies While I loved using the tag and participating occasionally, I‘ve found that I haven‘t been very creative or crafty this past year. I know there are features (like discord?) that I‘ve never even used. I love the idea of letting the tag live on, because it‘s amazing to be able to connect here with other people who appreciate the same things, but as for the group? I think you should decide based on how much you want to give of yourself, you know? 13mo
OriginalCyn620 First, I‘m sorry that this year has been tough for you. I hope 2024 treats you better! Secondly, I personally love the monthly themes! I like the added bit of challenge to see if I can fit the theme. And like others have said, I want you to do what‘s easiest for you, which I know isn‘t very helpful. Whatever happens, I‘ve had fun this year with this group and thank you so much for creating it! ❤️ 13mo
IndoorDame My health hasn‘t left me able to participate at all this year, so if you decide to keep things as they are I‘ll probably step back from the group next year and just enjoy watching what everyone else shares. If you went with something like a free floating tag I‘d pop in when I was able. But I don‘t have a preference, whatever works for you and the group is great. And I really appreciate all your hard work even if I haven‘t been around lately! 13mo

There are lots of suggestions in the book, some of which I already know about or do. Many, though, (especially the fixes, but even some of the maintenance to help things last longer) require someone handier than I. I am not handy at all. That being said, I do plan to hold on to the book so I can check if there is something I might be able to do with something when it‘s time to get rid of it. I already try to use most things until they die.
