Darwin visited the Tierra del Fuego archipelago whilst on HMS Beagle, which does #argentina for #readingtheamericas2023 @Librarybelle
#doublespin for February read! @TheAromaofBooks
I won't be reading Darwin's autobiography after reading this - it's apparently full of inaccuracies.
TheAromaofBooks Great progress!! 2y
Librarybelle Interesting to note about Darwin‘s autobiography! 2y
jenniferw88 @Librarybelle basically he doesn't credit any of his predecessors/contemporaries - including his own grandfather (!) - on helping him come up with the theory of evolution. It's 'MY theory this' & 'MY theory that'. He does acknowledge that both Alfred Russel Wallace & he did come up with the idea independently of each other though, so that's something! 😂 @AllDebooks 2y
