Have probably read this kind of story begore - I‘ve certainly seen the film but it‘s still well done. Ex teen tv star trying to make it as a producer teams up with her meet cute turned work enemy to try and get a film green lighted. To do so requires retuning to his home town, hanging out with his family and learning the truth of true love. Main character is both self aware and oblivious but that aside it was a fun pool side summer read

A charming short romance, with lovable, caring characters. This is a prequel to Magician but may be better read after that, since you get to see Lorre in his heedless, quixotic days and he is so much fun.

This was a bit predictable, things that felt like the author were setting up to be a twist too early and easily identified. But overall I enjoyed this. There was some depth - but Charles and James having family drama and a sense of not being seen. I enjoyed the writing and really liked the ending.

This was a fast moving, well told story and I couldn‘t wait for the HEA of Jane and Dan. It was even fun to read the romance conflict resolve. The side characters were entertaining, as well. This reads as a standalone, but honestly, I would love to read another episode in this world of characters.
