Pickpick

Natasha Madison aims for the heart and never misses. Southern Secrets has the right amount of suspense and romance, a nice quick read.

4/5 ?????

"The idea of them reading together on some cozy sofa popped into his brain and it warmed him straight through. He'd love that kind of domestic scene with Eva. Nothing big, just everyday closeness. Perfection."

Today‘s tourist site reading. I did the Musée d‘Orsay this morning, then headed to the Musée Rodin for their excellent gardens.

I had a lot of fun with A CAPTURED CAULDRON and it was great to see all the characters again, but it didn‘t sparkle the same way A RIVAL MOST VIAL did. So I‘m in that weird position where I‘m disappointed with something I really liked. Still, I‘ll read any other Side Quest Row books Ashwick throws at me.

tpixie What a great day! 2 great places. I‘m so happy for you and am nostalgic!!! 1w
xicanti @tpixie I also went to Sacre Coeur, then walked home through Montmartre! 1w
tpixie @xicanti big day! Amazing!! 1w
peanutnine Musee d'Orsay was one of my favorites when I lived in Paris! Jealous! 😄 I've been meaning to get to this sequel, I've definitely tempered my expectations though. Second in a series is hard to live up to the first 7d
xicanti @peanutnine the Musée d‘Orsay was SO GREAT. I had an amazing time. 6d

I‘m four hours into my Louvre visit and I‘ve still got most of the sculptural gallery to go. Before I tackle it, I need to sit on a red velvet couch (my favourite thing I‘ve found in Paris, seriously) and read my book for half an hour or so. My left foot‘s been in agony for about four and a half hours now and I‘ve just got on with it, because what else can you do, but now I need a BREAK.

Dilara I hope there's nothing seriously wrong with your foot and you can enjoy the rest of your visit. 1w
thegirlwiththelibrarybag Reading on a velvet couch in Paris (or the Louvre) sounds absolutely delightful! Hope your foot troubles are soon behind you. 1w
xicanti @Dilara it‘s nothing permanent; just strain from the sheer amount of walking I‘ve done these last few days. I haven‘t let it keep me from wandering the streets. 1w
xicanti @thegirlwiththelibrarybag the Louvre mostly have these awkward benches with no backs, so I was SO HAPPY to see a proper couch I could sit on! It was down in a stairwell, too, so I didn‘t have any competition for it. 1w
tpixie @xicanti perfect reading spot!! ❤️🛋️❤️ 1w

There are so many things triggering about dating and the people in this book. Our Pearls pick will have a discussion that we won‘t forget as this book has many elements of men and women being trashy people!

The way I screamed when two of my scholars pulled their kindles out! We are automatic kindle besties and have been sharing book recommendations from day one! Shoutout to their amazing parents for fostering the love of reading and giving them the space to have their bookish moments.
