I just wasn't feeling this one and it's probably a “me“ thing. The writing wasn't bad. I'm just over some of the stuff being pushed in novels today.

I had placed a hold for this at the end of last year on a whim and it didn't disappoint which is a nice change compared to some other newer reads I've read of late.
I enjoyed the premise of a romance writer suffering writer's block while a romantic upcoming actor who's dealing with another breakup under the public eye. He helps her writer's block by reigniting romance for her and she in turn will ruin romance for him, one trope at a time.
I loved this! Sawyer and Mason meet/get stuck in an elevator together. They have a one night stand thinking they‘ll never see each other again. Then they run into each other and make a pact to ruin romance and not sleep together again. I‘m sure I don‘t need to tell you what happens…
I really liked this one and the characters. You also get both their POVs. She‘s also bisexual.
Highly recommend. #aardvarkbookclub

I enjoyed this! It was cute how each chapter paid homage to/poked fun at a different romance trope. I felt a little annoyed by the third-act breakup, but that‘s what the romance formula calls for! #Aardvark #AardvarkBookClub
