#12BooksOf2025 @TheEllieMo

I've thoroughly enjoyed reading Christie's books with #ChristiesCapers and the lovely @Librarybelle. I got behind at the end of this year and hope to catch up in 2026.

In theory this book has it all, but I didn't quite connect with it. Maybe I thought there'd be more swashbuckling? The pacing also felt a little slow. However the premise of two sisters seeking revenge for their family's downfall at the hands of corrupt rulers was entertaining.

iread2much Sounds intriguing, but I just can‘t with that cover 😅 7y

Mehso-so

An easy YA read with plenty of girl power and a good storyline, this book fell just short of my hopes for it. I enjoyed the characters, the sisters, and the hints of magic, but there wasn‘t enough world-building for me, and the magic was completely underdeveloped. Sort of the potato chip of books - I ate it all up but I‘m still hungry, and now I want something more substantial.

THE SISTERS MEDEROS by Patrice Sarath is a historical-inspired fantasy about two sisters seeking revenge for the fall of their House. Although it had lots of exciting elements (extravagant parties! Wild magic! Secret identities!), it ultimately fails to blend them into a solid story.

Fun, quick, exciting #zombie #romp. Nothing too new but it's a great genre addition & I loved the ending as well! #belatedhalloween
