pickIt‘s been way too long since a book had me hooked, talking to myself and genuinely laughing out loud. And to think I bought it on a whim, randomly at a TJ Maxx. Glad I started the year with this one✨
pickExcellent writing with interesting characters, this book kept a steady pace and had a satisfactory ending for me. Recommended if you like introspective main characters, and a midwestern setting where not all the character threads are tied off neatly at the end.
I thought my son got out of work at 8pm tonight but its actually 9pm so how convenient that there a Barnes & Noble up the street!
pickA little bit of everything in this one! A spicy (🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️), fast-burn with an emphasis on the lovely-dovey (maybe too much towards the end). The MMC parallels Christian Grey at times and the drama that pops up is fun! It‘s definitely a tugger of the heart-strings too. ⚠️ Trigger warning: ⚠️ loss of a parent. My November #doublespin !
