A delightful, charming book about a man who has an accident that upends his life, which compels Virgil to forge a new and circuitous path to a changed existence. It all takes place in a small dying midwestern town with several endearing quirky characters. It‘s funny and hopeful. Engaging, entertaining, old fashioned storytelling.
I hate the cover of the kindle edition so much that I took a picture of the title page instead. I didn‘t *hate* this book, but it does have me thinking I‘m a complete prude. The writing was kind of silly in the beginning—she blows many a raspberry and he ‘gets off on‘ her voice or looking at her lips and it just doesn‘t sit right in this type of book, ya know? 😅 I liked it enough, but I‘m still so hung up on Abby J. books and that‘s that 🤷🏼♀️
I just love a book that provides an easy enjoyable read with good characters and storyline… do they have normal life problems to process yes is it all sunshine and roses no but the overall story is great loved this … I‘ll have to get the other books by this author …there‘s times I hate that I read so fast this is one of them
How did I go so long without Jennifer Crusie stories? I'm so happy I've found them again, and maybe I'll re-read in the tines when I just don't know what to read. They're so enjoyable. Such a romp through the unexpected violence. #46-2024
Loved this one. Finished it in one day while working. Tropes include second chance romance, secret baby, small town, cowboy.
