pickThis is such a small book I can't find it in my shelves right now. I read it first in grade school. I'm pretty sure this is why I fell in love with historical fiction. And origami. I can still make a paper crane.
It also opened my eyes to the fact that every story has another side. In school we learned about WWII but not so much about the people who had to live with what came after.
