A day off work today so some retail therapy followed by Top Gun. Not seen the 1st instalment in the 80s and my wife didn't fancy my choices but enjoyed it all the same, definitely didn't need to think too much.
I'm looking forward to the Richard Thompson after reading Utopia Avenue recently and humming singing beeswing badly to myself for many years and can't wait to start the jen ashworth.
Leftcoastzen Beeswing on my TBR too. Saw Richard Thompson a couple of years ago , not only did he still play & sing beautifully, he‘s at the age where he was telling great stories about the old days , bands & musicians he‘s played with . It was wonderful . 2y
Centique I saw Top Gun last night too and thought it was very good. Worth it just to see the jets - I‘m not usually a fan of planes but that was some incredible flying. 2y

andrew61 @Leftcoastzen yes I also saw him about 10 years ago or so and was brilliant. Hopefully I'll see him again at some point . 2y
