pickOn All Saints Day, which I celebrate for the half-priced candy, I read a book checked out on the week of the 21st anniversary of my #type1 diagnosis. While I cringed at the authoritarian nature of Stacey's dad ("Your mother and I make the decisions" re: Stacey's medical care ?) and her complete candy avoidance, I appreciated the otherwise accurate portrayal of a young diabetic.
Good use of illustrations, suspenseful BSC plot. Held up as adult.
