JazzFeathers How are you liking it? I bailed 1/3 through 😶 6y
SaraRosett @jazzfeathers Finally finished it. It took me a while. Life got busy and the story didn‘t grip me. I thought the characters‘ attitude toward bereaved families going on tours of the battlefields and cemeteries in Europe was a bit harsh. I can understand how it might bring closure. Not sure why the characters looked down on families who took the tours. 6y
JazzFeathers @SaraRosett Yeah, the main characters' attitude toward the war, Veterans and people trying to cope was one of the things that put me off. I find the psychological not very realistic (not to mention sympathetic). The heaviness of the romance wasn't for me too, but l could have endured it if the historical environment had been more understanding. 6y
