I really dislike it to DNF on book that my Hubby gave me. But actually he was the one recommending to stop reading the book. Because if you have no connection or whatsoever you'll get lost in this work. It's not like with my first Warhammer book, where I had no clue what was going on, but could identify the characters, the plot and soon as well the background story. This is impossible to do here, ⬇

Jari-chan which makes sense, since War Crimes is a volume 13 in a whole series... So if you're interested into entering the WOW bookish world, you might want to start with another book. Even if you already have known the game. Maybe start with volume 1 in the series... 2y

It was good for me to learn the beginning story of the Orcs. I play WoW and am planning of working my way through all the books to learn the history and lore behind a game I love so much!

Semi-book related - There are a series of book/librarian related quests in the new World of Warcraft expansion!

ReadingVampire Oh you play!!!! 💙💙💙 I am a wind walker monk on the Alliance! I am the guild leader of a guild called Felix Felicis on Norgannon/Kargath servers! It‘s so nice to see someone on here who plays! I am in love with the new expansion so much better than BFA and I love all the bookish references and quest they have this round! 3y
TheLibrarian @Puredragonstar How exciting to meet another WoW player! The new expansion is much better than BFA and I also love the bookish references and the cute animals 😂 I play for the Alliance too (Proudmore server) and at the moment I play a shadow priest. But I have 4 other classes to lvl to 60 that were previously max lvl (mage, paladin, hunter, and warlock). My husband plays too! 3y
ReadingVampire Oh yay!!! My husband plays as well! And If you guys ever want to have someone to play with our guild is fun and welcoming! We also have a community you can join it‘s called Felix Felicis and friends. My Monks name is Babs. We love doing all sorts of things! I‘m such an altaholic as well: I have all the classes but my Monk is my main. 💙 I never got around to finishing this book... does it have a lot of backstory to what‘s happening now? 3y

A quick and fun read, the base for the World of Warcraft movie, this book was entertaining even though it took place almost exclusively in a library in a tower. This is a must read for every WoW fan but my presumption that people who didn't play the game wouldn't enjoy it as much. All the little hints to the game details are great and fun (like Murlocks). I will definitely read more from this world in the future.

This is a great read for everyone who loves the WOW-Universe and it's characters. I felt that Roux really caught the essence of the charactets. There isn't much happening lorewise, but the characters beeing portaied in such a "human" way (strengths, flaws,...) made this a really fun and entertaining read.
Also, it's a great pastime till the prepatch and the new expansion ?

Listening intently, the villagers finally realized the strange new sound came from the water. Rushing to the shore, they peered out into the fog, trying to pierce its gloom. What was this noise, and what did it bring with it?
