#BristolthePistol and I read 36 chapters of #wishtree by Katherine Applegate yesterday to finish this book! It had such a wonderful message and we loved it so much! We thought the story line was excellent and how it‘s important to believe in yourself and also be kind and caring towards others even if they don‘t share the same beliefs. Wishes really can come true! Excellently written and we thought the names of all the characters were cute also!

EL 16 and UDL 1.3 are perfect for LC activities because students will be able to create their own “Wishtree” at the end of the novel. DianaHerrera @prissy.mooney ooh I love this idea of having a wishtree in the classroom. This can help students keep a positive vibe in the classroom when they need a reminder of how to meet and greet others and make them feel welcomed. I think it would be even better to have the school library do this for the entire school to see and read. 6y

DrSpalding I do hope you will use this book and even create your own wish tree. I think it is a lovely idea and have seen images of classrooms around the country that have done this. #WishTree 6y
