I learned the hard way never to read anything with ants on the cover. Titles with exclamation points are to be met with suspicion as well (exception: "Spock Must Die!" Is actually quite good). Seriously, the only red flag this book was missing was a tear-out cigarette ad in the middle. "Mind dazzling" my ass!
