There is a lot of Love and a lot of Hate for this book. Where do you stand? I personally did not care for it. #wurtheringheights
WomanistBibliophile I loved Wuthering Heights! Do you like Jane Eyre? 5y
TooFoo @WomanistBibliophile Thanks for commenting! Sad to say I have not read Jane Eyre yet. It‘s on my list. I did see the most recent movie version of it and liked it. Which one did you like better, Jane Eyre or Wurthering Heights? 5y
Librarybelle I really liked Wuthering Heights - it‘s a favorite of mine, only because of the way Emily Bronte uses a setting to convey bleakness and despair. I really dislike the characters and find Heathcliff to be one of the most toxic characters ever created. Jane Eyre has its moments, but that one probably edges out as the one I prefer over Heights. 5y
TooFoo @Librarybelle Thanks for commenting. I really didn‘t like any of the characters. They were all so miserable but I guess that‘s the whole point of the story. I think I was expecting something else. I‘ll have to try it again with this in mind. Just started Jane Eyre. 😊 5y
WomanistBibliophile I prefer Wuthering Heights! The misery is what makes it atmospheric! 😂 Jane Eyre is such a different approach to literature, it‘s an interesting contrast 5y
