Wow! It‘s been a really long time since I‘ve posted. This is my current read. Picked it up in the clearance section of Barnes and Noble. I‘m about half way through. I really like it. Has anyone else read this book? What are your thoughts on it?

VioletBramble One of my favorite books. 💚 4y
TooFoo @VioletBramble One of my favorites also. I try to read it every year as Summer begins 😊 4y

There is a lot of Love and a lot of Hate for this book. Where do you stand? I personally did not care for it. #wurtheringheights

WomanistBibliophile I loved Wuthering Heights! Do you like Jane Eyre? 4y
TooFoo @WomanistBibliophile Thanks for commenting! Sad to say I have not read Jane Eyre yet. It‘s on my list. I did see the most recent movie version of it and liked it. Which one did you like better, Jane Eyre or Wurthering Heights? 4y
Librarybelle I really liked Wuthering Heights - it‘s a favorite of mine, only because of the way Emily Bronte uses a setting to convey bleakness and despair. I really dislike the characters and find Heathcliff to be one of the most toxic characters ever created. Jane Eyre has its moments, but that one probably edges out as the one I prefer over Heights. 4y
TooFoo @Librarybelle Thanks for commenting. I really didn‘t like any of the characters. They were all so miserable but I guess that‘s the whole point of the story. I think I was expecting something else. I‘ll have to try it again with this in mind. Just started Jane Eyre. 😊 4y
WomanistBibliophile I prefer Wuthering Heights! The misery is what makes it atmospheric! 😂 Jane Eyre is such a different approach to literature, it‘s an interesting contrast 4y

I am currently reading my way through this series. Loved all of them so far! Has anyone else out there read these? I would love to hear your thoughts. Does anyone else besides me wish there was a cozy and quaint town like 3 Pines to live in? (Expect for all the murders of course 😳) #thecruelestmonth #louisepenny

TrishB I‘m half way through series too 😁 would love to live there!! 4y
melissajayne I‘m reading them, although I‘ve haven‘t picked up one in about 9 months or so. 4y
TooFoo @TrishB @melissajayne Thanks for the comments. I just finished the book. On to the next 😊 4y

Librarybelle Love this series! I‘m towards the beginning of the series, as I‘ve been reading one a year for a book group, but would like to set some time aside to read all of them in order. 4y
TooFoo @Librarybelle I‘m going to start #4 soon. I was never much into mysteries but this series is so good! 4y
Prairiegirl_reading I stalled after book 2. I think I might try the audio I just recently heard the narrator of the first 10 is excellent. Apparently he passed away though. I loved the ones I‘ve read though. 4y
TooFoo @Prairiegirl_reading I‘ll have to try one of the books in audio. I great narrator makes such a difference. Book 3 was a good one! 4y
VioletBramble I've read the first 11 books in the series. I really like them. I did think of stopping the series after the 11th - there was a decision made by Gamache that I thought was heinous. But I have three more books in the series on my shelves so I will at least read those. 4y
