Shawn devasted of his brothers murder, he decides to follow rule number 3 which is revenge. Shawn that night found his brothers gun and slept with it, knowing that tomorrow he was going to kill the guy who he think murdered Shawn. When Will arrives to the guys apartment.

Aluet_ He goes on a elevator ride down. Their is 7 levels and every single one he encounters a ghost from his past. These include people like his uncle, childhood friend, and even his father. They show him the result of tragedy, loss, revenge, and harsh consequence of violence. Will is faced with the question of should he carry out the plan, or should he listen to these visitors. 4w
Aluet_ if you like books that are fast paced and will keep you reading I recommend The Hate U Give. It also talks about the violence that African American teens go though and will keep you alert. The point of view in this book is First person. The author uses Wills voice directly allowing readers to hear his thoughts and emotions as he speaks in verse. We are given his thoughts and how he thinks while reading this book. 4w

Pickpick

The Hate U give is a book on 16 year old, Starr carter. She witnesses the shooting of her best friend Khalil during a traffic routine. This traumatic event leads Starr to questioning society and the racial and stereotypical complexities of the world. She struggles while trying to find her identity while living poorly and attending a predominantly white school.

Aluet_ If you like books that talk about identity, finding new ways etc. Another book that can catch your interest in I am Malala. It talks about the social injustice of a girl who\'s shot as a young teen for fighting for the rights of education. This book is written in first person. Starr is talking about her own motives/life challenges that she has to face. This is shown throughout the book when Starr talks about what she goes through as a Black female. 2mo
