This book was listed in a TikTok book club as “one to read”. I got it on audio and listed to almost 2 hours out of the 4 and was completely bored so I‘m not sure how a man would manage to finish it🤣 Maybe it was the voice but it wasn‘t engaging at all, however it could be informative to those who don‘t have the knowledge…if they manage to get passed the mundaneness.

I chose to listen to this book on audio to get me through some spring cleaning. The book has been around for as long as I can remember, but I had never gotten around to reading it and honestly, probably wouldn‘t have finished it if I had been actually reading it lol The information seemed out of date, however there were some good tidbit such as remembering we‘re different and to write a letter before speaking in anger. I definitely expected more🤣

By all of the wonderful reviews given, I was not expecting this book to have been written so long ago lol What I enjoyed most were the different stories about the people. While I agree that your mindset plays a big part in your success, I was honestly expecting more from this book. I will reread it again in the future to see if I get more from it.

Super good book! I was pleasantly surprised and like how he put everything into perspective in a way that is very relatable. I grew up in church, but haven‘t been in years…I would definitely recommend this book to anyone, regardless of religious beliefs because the things he says can be applied to any situation. “IT‘S ONLY CRAZY UNTIL IT HAPPENS”!! I love that quote and will definitely be applying it to my journey as a new business owner.

Idk if it‘s because I expected her to have so much more to say, but I didn‘t LOVE the book. I LOVE Michelle, but I felt like it was missing something. Like she was still trying hard to not say anything that might be perceived as “wrong”. However I do feel like it gave a background look at what was going on with her husbands presidency...I wish it had been more about her-HER not her life with her husband.

This book was good, but not as good as the 1st one. She repeated quite a few things that she said and stories she told in “You are a badass how to stop doubting your greatness”. The way she writes makes me feel like I know her personally and that is very appealing when reading self help books...makes it not seem so preachy lol

I really enjoyed this book. It was funny, but got the point across. There were several points that resonated with me so I will be rereading with my highlighter this time!

Looooooved this book! She was very open and honest about her life and there was also great bits of advice thrown in there.

Reading this book changed my opinion of Tiffany Haddish. I used to think she was loud and obnoxious, after reading her story I can understand why she is the way she is. Great Storyteller!!

I absolutely love Gabrielle‘s raw honesty! She was open and made me feel like I‘ve known her my whole life❤️

I love Issa Rae so I thought the book would be just as hilarious as she is. However, the book didn‘t quite keep my attention nor did her personality reflect through the pages😩 It was nice to get a background story on her life though.

I expected the book to be a lot more interesting and uplifting than it was based off of the introduction. However, it was still a decent read and shed some light on some of Steve Harvey‘s struggles.
