Wonderful book, finished it about a week ago... Isabel Allende is such a great story teller ... this captures the time of the Spanish civil war and victor and Rosers story as they leave Spain for Chile and all that entails ... wonderful story spanning real events and some real people in the fictional story ....that spans a life time ..... absolutely recommend
Holiday read ..... great tales so far .... travel in the mind as well as within the U.K. 😊👍📚☀️
About 20 pages in and this book has me hooked ... its my book group read for the month .. the library is still closed but we can read our book group reads electronically ..... thank goodness would not have wanted to miss this 📚📚😊😊
About half way through, different to Dark Matter and Thin Ice but very good draws you in slowly..... such a lot of detail...... spanning five centuries there‘s a lot of folklore and the fens and waterways around the house are very much a part of this book ... so far I like it a lot!!
Read a few weeks ago ... it‘s a book that although I wouldn‘t have thought it would, has stayed with me and keeps popping back into my thoughts .... interesting, a mans life as he gets older and is retired ... how his life has unfolded from birth in Malaya on wards ..... I dont think I‘d read more of this series but fascinating anyway 📚📚😊😊🌺🌺
So so enjoying it but feels a little slow in parts .... it‘s very relevant to our times ... a retired professor enters the world of a number of refugees in Berlin .... very interesting 👍👍📚📚
What a wonderful series of books, all four are amazing .. such a moving saga ... I‘ve just finished the fourth and final book ... I will absolutely re read all four at some point ... they‘re so intricate .. the story for a childhood friendship that runs through the veins of the two main characters and the books ... wow.. I‘m so pleased I‘ve read them but so sorry to have finished them ....
New book reads and starts today .... finished Marble Cake it was a bit weird .... and can‘t wait to start The story of the lost child .... had a few days off work and got more reading in yay 📚📚😊😊
Picked this up .. it‘s lovely inside full of inspiring photos of Paris and little tips about the areas and the best places to eat and browse .... love all things Paris 📚📚❤️❤️😊

New book group read ... book group this morning (lovely catch up and tea and cakes) .. then Christmas shopping and a Cosmopolitan after braving the shops 😀 think this will be a good Christmas read .. “sinister” “frightening” and “gripping” are the words describing it on the cover 📚😀🌟✨

A cup of tea and this wonderful book .. while on my break at work ... this is the third book in the series .. I‘m being a bit slow at reading at the moment but I just love the story of Elena and Lila and their neighbourhood and family and conflicts and growth .... it‘s wonderfully written ! 📚
Just finished reading The Story of a new name ... and managed to find the third and final volume of the Neopolitan series in a second hand book shop in Morecombe ... so excited to read the last two books I‘m loving the series so far ... there is such depth In Her writing and such emotional detail and description ...

so-soI‘m about half way through this ... each chapter is a different year featuring the house and those that come into contact with it ... won‘t put any spoilers here .. it‘s all a bit weird .. I want to see it through to find out what‘s going on but it‘s weird enough I also want to just give up hmmmm
About half way through, I‘ve stalled a little bit, not sure it‘s as good a read as the first one but still loving the characters and the twists and turns in their stories

I wasn‘t sure about the subject matter of this book before I got it as a book group read .. but I‘ve got about 130 pages left to read and I‘ve loved it so far very interesting and the characters are so well written!!
A darker state ... just finished for this Saturdays book group .. not my usual book pick but it was actually pretty good .... and Wild .... my new read... needing to take in journey and exploring reads.... journeying in ourselves and out into the world 📚

A relaxing week away from work in a lodge in the countryside of Scotland, to read, walk and catch up with myself .... started this with a hot coffee on the side ... I like reading a graphic novel every now and then and really enjoy them.. picked this up at my local library 📚😊👍☕️

pickJust finished this book ... wasn‘t sure I‘d like it and the start seemed a little over loaded with a lot of characters but as I got further in with it the style of writing and the more details that came through about the characters .... I really enjoyed it ... it‘s a debut novel and I‘d definitely read more of his booked based on this one 😊
