I just finished this last night and really enjoyed it. If The Falconer was Scottish steampunk with fairies, The Vanishing Throne was more Scottish post apocalyptic...with fairies. Post faepocalypse? Is that a thing? It is now. So yes, a bit darker than the first book but with the welcome addition of Kiaran's somewhat crazy sister for humour and feels. I'm excited to pick up the third book!

It was decent, but I didn't love it as much as the first one. The second half was a bit slow and I put it down to read a couple other books before finishing.

While this book wasn't my favourite Meg Cabot read, it was still light and fun. Great beach read, but not as funny as the other 'Boy' books.

I loved this book, super sweet and a quick read. Can't wait to get into #2!
