🎶You deserve the best in life
So if the time isn't right then move on
Second best is never enough
You'll do much better, baby, on your own🎶

These lyrics reminded me of Lara Jean-she fishes for love but might be in love with love

Such a cute read! I'm not one read romance, but I couldn't help myself with this one. I had watched the Netflix movie and absolutely loved it so I had to read the books of course. I completely fell in love with the book. I literally had such a hard time putting this book down. I cant wait to read the next one.

I read this for my YA class for my masters degree. I thought it was really cute. I loved Laura Jean‘s relationship with her sisters and with Peter. I‘m hoping to be able to read the sequels soon. 📚❤️

Ridiculously, I've had an advance copy of this since 2014 and am only now jumping on the bandwagon. It is sooooooo adorable! I loved the tone and that Lara Jean felt like a real teenager (I find most YA to have overly mature characters). I can't wait to get to the next one!

This book is great if you are looking for a fun read. It perfectly captures the drama and mindset of the stereotypical teenage girl. However, at certain points this book was more than just a romance. It dealt with loss and growing up before you should have. Overall, a fun read with a few deep messages that cause you to look within yourself and relflect.

ElizaMarie I really liked it too. The Netflix movie is pretty cute (if you haven‘t seen it... check it out) 2mo

This was really cute! Lara Jean was relatable, if a bit naive, but still the kind of character you root for.

I really like the sister/family relationships. I‘m looking forward to seeing how the characters evolve and grow (I‘m looking at you, Peter)  And of course, watching the movie version.

5/5 ⭐️s So cute and just what I needed!! This was a sweet and funny love story. I think the movie did a great job of capturing the emotions in this book too! I do prefer movie Margot over book Margot though. Book Margot was a little mean. I already bought the other two books, so off to start the second one!

Talk about jumping back in time. This book was like going back to high school. I really enjoyed the pace of this book, always moving forward but making you wonder. I wasn't sure at first how this book was going to end. I was happy with the way she ended it because it made me want to read the next book.

At first, Lara Jean seems so young & naive & dreamy &- okay, I was prob. just like her at 16. Still, it was easy to get impatient w/her & want to say grow up already! As she challenges herself more, she becomes more of a sweet character. I also liked that along w/the romance, Han subtly touches on issues of being biracial, growing up w/a single-parent household, & teen social pressures. In fact, the more I think about the book, the more I like it.

Ok, so our spare room isn't exactly prime material for a romance novel, but this is definitely the bed size where someone would stoically volunteer to take the floor, but we all know how that ends. RELUCTANT SHARING AND ACCIDENTAL CUDDLES!!! Fake dating is another favorite trope of mine, being fulfilled in the tagged title, which I'm currently listening to. @24in48 #24in48 romance challenge

YouBookMe Haha I do love those “Oh no, only one bed, whatever shall we do?” scenes in movies! 4mo

There‘s just something about warm weather that puts me in the mood to read contemporaries! I‘m not sure how many of these I‘ll get to, as I‘m still working on The Stone Sky, a book of poetry, and I‘m rereading Persuasion and The Importance of Being Earnest for book clubs... not to mention I‘m hoping to get through a bunch of graphic novels for the #eclecticreadathon ...whew 😅 but if not, I think I‘ll get to these at some point during the summer!
