So far I have liked this book. The main character is Arthur Penhaligon. He is asthmatic and is chosen by a mysterious figure to die an early death to complete a prophecy. But, he doesn't die when he was thought to. Then, the figure sets out to retrieve a powerful item that has been given to Arthur. Arthur has to prevent the figure from getting the item and has to bring it to a certain place. I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes fantasy.
So far I like this book quite a bit. It is about two british children named Gavin and Norah who have to travel to Canada because of the Second World War. They are then temporarily adopted into a family that they live with until the war is over. I havent finished this book yet but I'm sure the ending will be good.
pickthis book takes place in London, England during the time of the black death. then, when melchior, a mysterious prophet appears in the town, everybody flocks to him for guidance and help. Until, and apothecary shows up with a cure for the plague. but when the apothecary is attacked by a assasin, Christopher Rowe ( the main character) has to find out what is happening. I would recommend this book to anybody who likes mystery and suspense books.
pickThe Blackthorn Key was a very good book with suspense and mystery. The wording was good and something that I liked about the book was that the recipes used by the apothecaries were used by real ones in the setting and timeframes of the book. Some parts of the book were a little dragging but once you got past them it got very flowing.
Something I liked about this book is that this particular volume went very far back in time.
