“As a biologist, I focus on what it might mean to claim that our bodies physically imbibe culture.” -Anne Fausto-Sterling, Chapter 16. Happy to be returning to this thought-provoking volume for my spring course, “Women and Science!”

A great day for reading!

Freespirit Wow is that your view? Looks beautiful. Here I am looking out at sun parched paddocks. It's 35C...95F.. 5y
Ceratina Yes, that‘s my view! Very unusual for us - the biggest snow storm we‘ve had in 3 years, I think. 5y

Picked this up at the Boulder Bookstore because I decided I need to see this message daily in 2019! I like Tess Whitehurst‘s cozy writing style; looks like it‘s going to be a fun book.

I enjoyed Learner‘s The Witch of Cologne and came across SOUL at a used bookstore In Longmont. It‘ll be my first read for 2019.

Pickpick

My favorite book of 2018. Then again, I love bees!

TheBogwitch A friend of mine is a biologist/professor doing a bees of the plains study. I never knew there were so many kinds of bees! 5y
Ceratina @TheBogwitch I just saw you commented on this! How did I not notice? So sorry! Trying to figure this place out. I like Litsy and love just looking around at what people are sharing about books. Thanks for recommending the site! 5y
TheBogwitch @Ceratina we are in the same boat. I‘m kind of lost, but I do enjoy Litsy. 5y

Freespirit My husband and I have an organic Macadamia farm and we now have bees. I made the first batch of honey recently to give as Christmas gifts. It really is amazing how they work together to make honey. I love watching them at work! Glad you like bees too😊 5y
Ceratina Oh, that is so cool! Macadamias and honey bees!! It‘s nice to meet you and I look forward to sharing more with you on Litsy. 😊 5y
