Although I finished the book I must say I was disappointed. I usually love Auster but this... the main character was blah; women‘s bodies were described in a shallow and dated way; and my god was I bored by the endless chapters about the hero as a horny teenager. Nope. It felt really dated.

BookwormM So glad I am not the only one who didn‘t love this 7y

The funniest, most intelligent and challenging book I‘ve ever read! I just want to spend my days reading about on different Internet forums. Thanks @JenP - shadowing your #infinitejestbuddyread made the experience much easier and more fun!

JenP I‘m glad you enjoyed it. Such a great book 7y

I‘m having a bit of a hard time with the bingo card - lost my iPad so I‘m stuck reading the book on my phone. However, I feel like this quote sums up quite a lot of the themes for me. - made me laugh, - class commentary, - gender commentary. And it made me sad since I really felt like Iris followed the advice beyond what was best for her. # @JenP

athorne How long has it been since you lost it. Is it likely to still be online? Do you use an iPhone? If so, you can use your "Find my iPhone" app to play a loud sound from your iPad and/or see where it's located in case you left it somewhere. This can also be done online via iCloud. I hope you find it! ? 7y
Clarastina @TheGhastlyGrimoire thank you for the advice! Fingers crossed! 7y
athorne No problem! I've lost my iDevices in the strangest parts of the house. 😹😹😹 7y

Beautifully written but the last few chapters are almost too painful to read. The voices in the last two parts of the book distanced me from the main characters and this distance kind of remained in the last chapter. A great book but somewhat merciless.
