After a bit of a break in the middle I‘m working my way towards the end of this series.

About half way through this little beauty and loving it so far. It‘s creepy and well written. It has an unobtrusive style so that you feel like you made discoveries for yourself rather than being told all the time what happens.

I've heard so many people rave over this book so I had to read it. At the risk of offending them, I struggled to finish it. It just seemed to go on and on and go nowhere. I was totally bored - sorry 😐

Another really good book by Dean, the start of a new series. Hopefully not too long before the next one comes out because I believe it's already written.

The few times she raised this subject with Nick, he had said, "Yeah, life is complicated, but if it wasn't complicated, it would be a roller coaster on a flat track. Wouldn't be a ride worth taking.

Got up early, made a cuppa and settled in to finish this book. I L❤️VED it. It was like a breath of fresh air, something so totally different to anything else I have ever read. Magical and mysterious. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Linear Im still not done and opted to get this in digits rather than hard back. But i think the covers are pretty 7y
ClareBear73 It is so pretty Linear and the picture of the people is embossed. I'm in love with this book 😍 7y

One chapter in I thought I had figured out the ending of this book and was a bit disappointed that it was predictable. However, I pressed on and was pleasantly surprised to find out I was wrong. I did end up picking the ending before I got there but not as early as I originally thought. I still enjoyed the book and would definitely recommend it.

I saw the beginning of this movie a while ago but stopped watching because I knew the book was on my TBR pile. Not for much longer though.

Well that was SO much better than the movie. Honestly, I know they always are but the ending is completely different and so much better.

I've never had much time for Stephen King Novels. They always seem to start out well and the suspense builds but always seem to fall over at the end for me. However I recently read 11.22.63 and was pleasantly surprised by the end (although I did read that his son gave him the idea for the ending). So I figured it's time to try another. I've seen the movie but I'm sure the book has to be better.

Hayley81 Stephen King is a funny one for me too. His books are like Marmite to me, I either love them or hate them... This is one I loved. I finally got round to reading it's sequel, Doctor Sleep, this year and loved that as well. 7y

Mehso-so

There were a lot of characters in this book, with each chapter being from one characters point of view. I spent the first third of the book struggling to remember who was who. I got past that and found myself immersed in the story. I enjoyed the story and the characters however it did lack a big reveal/plot twist/aha moment. It slowly came to what was a fairly predictable conclusion.

Time to see if this one is better than The Girl on the Train.

Pickpick

A few years ago I would have read this book and laughed it off as "never able to happen in this day and age". Sadly, all things in this book have happened in various stages of history and various cultures and could plausibly happen again. I quickly became engrossed in the story and attached to the characters although I did find the switch between Offred remembering past events and current events sometimes a bit sudden and momentarily confusing.
