#ChristmasNovel Immi Tolliman wants to be with the man she loves. This gentle narrative meanders along as we get to know Immi and the people she identifies as her “family“. Ms Coleman has written a heartfelt story about daily life and struggles within a beautiful rural setting. There's a strong sense of community within Ayesbury with relatable and likeable characters. Overall, the ending is satisfying in that Immi and Gray are together.

The author pulls the absorbing story together with likeable, friendly characters against a lovely Cornish backdrop. It creates a feel-good atmosphere and a relatable place to identify with and most importantly, a happily ever after.

The Friend Zone | Abby Jimenez
Pickpick

Wow! Be ready! The Friend Zone packs an emotional punch. Prepare yourself to laugh and cry your way through Kristen and Josh's journey to a happily-ever-after.
This story is intensely heart-aching yet full of humour too. The author knows how to wring out every drop of emotion from the protagonists. They are complex characters, made for each other but in time-honoured fashion, the journey for them to realise this is difficult for them to navigate.

Passion on Park Avenue | Lauren Layne
Pickpick

I love the unique and imaginative way we are introduced to Naomi and the two women who become significant in her life and captures the essence of friendship. Tragic and hilarious how these women became acquainted due to a link none of them knew about before their chance meeting in Central Park. Retaining all the elements I love about Ms Layne's writing. Besides the slow burn romance brewing between the protagonists, there's a powerful message.

Kaylamburson I really want to read this one! Welcome back to Litsy!!!! 6y
Ellesea @Kaylamburson It's definitely one of Lauren Layne's best novels and I'm looking forward to reading the other books in this series as they are published. 6y
Kaylamburson Ohhh, that's good to hear!! Can the books function as standalones or is it really a typical series? 6y

A flirty and quick read, for readers who love enjoy escapism and dream of meeting their own prince. A feel-good modern fairy-tale with a happy ending. Whilst the setting is contemporary, the road to a happy ending stretches the imagination, and I wouldn't have it any other way. In an always expect the unexpected scenario, the narrative unfolds with tons of humour along with some romantic encounters and of course lashings of wedding preparations.

Bridesmaids | Zara Stoneley
Pickpick

Fast-paced, there's never a dull moment as friends come together to celebrate their friend's wedding.

Ms Stoneley is a new to me author and I liked how she managed to keep the narrative flowing with so much happening at any given time. Laugh a minute, Bridesmaids is a fun packed, humorous caper which will have you turning the pages furiously until you reach the more than satisfying, happy conclusion.

The Last Letter | Rebecca Yarros
Mehso-so

The writing quality is top notch, with relatable protagonists and supporting characters. Yet the narrative overall is too much. There's an unnecessary, gut-wrenching twist near to the end. What happens before that point is angst-ridden enough. Adding to it is a step too far, adding gratuitous drama. It's a shame.
The ending is satisfying in a way the loose ends are tied. That aspect I'm happy with and as a conclusion, the story has stayed with me.

It's one of my favourite books of the year. #NetGalley

I can wholeheartedly say is, I was one hundred per cent invested in Jen's Danish distraction. As a reader it wasn't difficult, to fall for this fine specimen of Nordic swoon-worthy masculinity. He oozed sincere charm in a too-good-to-be-true way.

Stand out elements of the narrative are the author's ability to bring her protagonists to life enabling the reader to feel their emotions.

Follow Me | Tiffany Snow

I wanted to give Follow Me a higher rating due to the suspense element of the storyline because when the plot finally takes off, it kept my interest 100%. What spoilt this book for me was all the references to the numerous fandoms China follows. Really? It bored me, resulting in me skipping pages. Also, the sequence of events and a line of dialogue initially reminded me of Ms Snow's No Turning Back, although most readers won't pick up on that!
