I can‘t bring myself to rate this so-so, cos ya know, it‘s John Green, but I really didn‘t love this book. I just couldn‘t connect to Aza at all, at times I found her incredibly annoying and very self absorbed. I was expecting a great adventure, an epic mystery and quotes that made my brain pop, but it was all just a bit meh. I still love you John...but I am not in love with this book.

This for me was very middle ground territory. Feel like I should've loved it because it's so music orientated, but I just felt zero emotional connection to these characters. They just weren't developed or exciting enough. Really wouldn't waste your time with this, there's much better YA fiction out there to sink your teeth into

Desperately wish I'd read this in the 90's when it was first published. Touching subject matter and a true reflection of high school hell, but this book is definitely of its time, and times have changed.

AlwaysForeverReading I can‘t wait to read this book. 5y

Down at the bottom of the world. Indulgent and brutal but sometimes brilliant 🌟
