I love this! Such a nod to the tv show!
Well. Isn‘t this a fun break in format? We haven‘t gotten any timeline like this before in this series.

My this book went fast. I‘m saddened by Niall‘s departure. But all good things, right?
I started reading this and then the news about the Amazon fires hit. Now, every time I sit to read, I get this sense of dread. This colonial mindset in this book is a huge reason why these fires started. Colonial greed is ugly. I have to put this one down for my own health.
In longer series, like this one, I have found that there are books that just serve to transition to the next major arc. This is one of those books. Still, it is a fast read and is very pleasurable!
Sometimes you read a really good recap paragraph that‘s worth sharing.
I find it ironic that I was comparing In Search of a Witch‘s Soul to the Sookie Stackhouse novels and now I‘m using an informational card for it as a bookmark...to a Sookie Stackhouse novel.
After deciding to finally finish this series after putting it down for a while, Eeyore decided to personalize my copy. #readingrabbitowners
A good mix of action, science fiction, and romance. Normally I am not the type to say this, but when the book refocused on the romance, thats when I enjoyed it the most. The only real complaint I have is that some of the descriptions were a little vague at times. 8/10
Perhaps I am overthinking this, but it‘s funny to me that a Confederate solider has so much compassion for someone who is not only the same race as him, but also isn‘t the same species.
It‘s a hot day. May as well read about a hotter planet #imfunnydangit
In this anthology, i skipped War of the Worlds and went straight to A Princess of Mars. Considering that the one I read before that was Looking Backward: 2000-1887, the two stories feel like night and day. In Bellamy‘s story, everyone was equal. In Burroughs‘s, racism and classism are alive and well. The juxtaposition in anthologies always fascinates me.
I would have panned this book, but the ending was satisfying. A comparable book to the Sookie Stackhouse novels, but not as well written. Im not sure this is worth the read, however. If the author spent as much time developing characters as she did writing 3 consecutive sex scenes, this book would have be great. If you want a decent noir mystery, skip this and listen to Rex Riveter: private eye. If you want a decent romance/mystery, stick to sookie
I‘m calling this book out right now. I bought this at an anime convention. For those who don‘t know, there an an anime called Yuuri on Ice. One of the central themes of that anime is defining the differences between Eros and Agape. It would be safe to know your audience and assume they know what Eros is. This was a really good book, but took a turn for the worst. I only have 60 pages left. I hope i can make it through them.
This book is kinda frustrating me at the moment. It‘s been a delightful Mystery Thriller Romance novel, but has just taken an abrupt turn to being a sex novel. For three chapters in a row i have had to read about erections. I‘m an adult. I can handle sex. I actually do read books for the plot. Sex can be used as a plot device. This book is not being that tactful. Get back to the story. The romance will follow. this book is too short to waste time
Anyone else bawl when her dad died?
Yeah. My inconsistent self is giving this app another go.
First time reading this classic. I‘ve got a lot of catching up to do!
Anyone else feeling frustrated at the HBO movie? Like, it‘s good. I was just hoping something a little more, well, by the book.
Due to the nature of this book, I am not sure I will post too much about it. However, I can tell you that I am not an addict, but am someone whose life is impacted by one. I love the individual dearly and support their recovery.
I don‘t want to put bail because this book is better than that, but that‘s exactly what happened. In the preface you‘re told that this is this woman‘s doctoral dissertation and it reads like it. It was just getting so dry I couldn‘t finish it. Now it‘s still absolutely worth the read if you‘re interested in R. Zalman‘s teachings.
I‘m hoping that the only adventure I‘ll have today is located in black fire dancing on white fire. #shabbat #jewlit #jewreads #shabbatactivities
It‘s been an interesting night. But books don‘t judge. Books just are.
#bookhaul I think the Barnes and Noble gift cards have finished trickling in for my birthday. I also wasn‘t able to grab my other book before my sister‘s appointment, so I guess I‘ll have to start reading this. I liked the previous books, so I am looking forward to this one. However, I really have a preference to one at a time.
Normally not into holocaust comparisons—they often come as plaudits these days. Never forget, but don‘t constantly remind. Still, I find this comparison to the evictees of the Holocaust to Cain to be interesting.
Pancakes for breakfast! American Cookery has my favorite pancake and waffle recipe. #foodiesoflitsy #bookeats
Yeah. Abrahamic religions continue to struggle with this.
@readherwriteher I‘m kinda enjoying doing these getting to know you type posts. #thisorthat #gettingtoknowyou
Nothing like a good book about good people in the world when everything around is so bad.
This book really covers the Bannon era of this administration. Many things are going wrong right now and this is part of the problem. I agree with the other reviews that it‘s a bit gossipy. However; it is coherently written, even if it did become a chore at the end. 5/10
Second to last chapter. So very close. I‘m reading a book about a very good man next. I need reassurance that there‘s good in the world.
Am I tempted to bail? Yes. But I have three chapters left. I‘m finishing this depressing, soul crushing monster.
Birthday Book Haul! I haven‘t checked here, but I‘ve heard amazing things about Leia from my friends. The other book I wasn‘t familiar with, so I‘m interested to see what I think.
1. Michigan
2. Science fiction. Preferably if it‘s written between 1890 and 1990
3. Fire and Fury
4. Pasta
5. I have a rabbit named Eeyore and a dog named Roxie. They‘re both perfect in every way.
6. None at this time, but I‘d love to get to know all of you! I‘ve actually been with Litsy since its development, but I don‘t use it often because I forget to 😅 I got this meme from @RaimeyGallant
Gag me. This is disgusting. Did a contains spoiler for a trigger warning #tw #triggerwarning
Not gunna lie. I was not digging the vibes that Ivanka is less Jewish because she‘s a convert. I‘m a convert; I don‘t want any convert to be made out as “less than”. I don‘t like trump and I don‘t like the cloud of people around him. Religion may play a role in the book, but do not belittle. Also, stop perpetuating the “Jews control” stereotypes. Being part of something =\= control.
This is a series I really want to reread now that viz media is publishing them again! Perhaps I‘ll do a secular-religious-loveless cycle.
Luck is when the book lands on the floor in the middle of the night and the rabbit doesn‘t chew it up.
Well, isn‘t this exactly what‘s happening now?
So I‘ve been trying to read a religious book followed by a secular book, but when the White House damns a book, you‘ve gotta read it; even if it‘s nothing more than gossip. So, today I start my quest into learning about the Madness of President Trump. Unlike many liberals I know, I say Trump under Voldemort Rules. You can‘t take away power if you can‘t say his name!
So this was the famous school fair book. I gotta say. I was shook when kyoyas Dad turned out to be a good guy. Like. I think he just wants Kyoya to take over but needs good reason to bypass his other sons. I hope that works out. I‘m not done with the series yet, but this book was a backtrack because my library doesn‘t have them all, so I had to buy this one.
Look what came in the mail today! I‘m super excited to read this one! My local Barnes and Noble‘s is selling this one so quickly, they can‘t keep it on the shelf. They told me that, a month after it‘s release, they were only taking pre-orders still. I ended up ordering mine online. It will likely be my next read. #politics
Tonight‘s dinner is so good, I decided to share it with you guys. I have homemade tofu nuggets and home made fries. I made a curry tomato dipping sauce, but it‘s kinda gross. Still. Super tasty. Accompanied by a manga, I‘m ready to go! #bookeats #manga #dinner
Wow! What a ride! So this book covers the period after the Maccabean revolt and how Greek culture saved Judaism from post-temple destruction. According to Visotzky, even Jews would be nothing without the Greeks! A wonderful read. If I am a heretic according to the last Hanukah book I read, then I am on the path of the future according to this book. #jewlit #jewishliterature
