1000 pages done! I'm so ready for Andalusia next week - perhaps I'll try to find Fatimas hand engraved in Alhambras Puerta de la Justicia...

Phew what a journey! It was hard work for the first 700 pages(!) but after that I simply couldn't put the book down. I've lived in Granada and I adore Cordoba, so this was a must read before going again.

Musée des beaux-arts has something to go with the reading -the Napoleon gallery.
"Napoleon began the war with Russia because he could not resist going to Dresden, could not help his head being turned by the hommage he received."

Everything is War and Peace, while reading War and Peace. Here in Montréal, ones head is filled with samovars, masurka and Bonaparte crossing the Niemen!

Sydsavvy It's funny how that happens! 9y
