A truth universally acknowledged 😂😂
This is my very unrealistic tbr for #hauntedshelf and #witchathon and October in general. @PuddleJumper
Here is a just for fun #witchathon bingo board for this year. Thought it might help people doing #hauntedshelf. I included some “witchy” activities this year. A book can count for more than one prompt, but if you like a challenge then you can do one book for each prompt. The books all need to have a witch in it to count.
Post your #witchathon tbr. These books I have read specifically for the #witchathon in the past. I have read many more witchy books, including all the Practical magic books, but these are some I enjoyed for #witchathon. I recommend them all.
Thank you @BookmarkTavern for creating this fun play-card.
When I was younger, I usually read 3 books at a time.
Then that changed into just 1 book at a time, which lasted for years until I became a Litten and had a chat with @dabbe that made me wonder if I could get back to reading more than 1 book at a time.
Now I'm back at my usual 3 reads 📚🥳💝 & been attempting four.
Still haven't regained my speed...was a faster reader when younger!
Today I mailed #CBBC #FFFS and #TravelingStars 🧹

My best friend and I are writing postcards to voters in NC and AZ. We are both childless cat ladies, and she has a new kitten. We were planning a kitten shower to welcome her home but are now asking for donated stamps in place of kitten things. Wish us luck! We have to mail out 400 cards on October 15th!

Happy Friday!!
My Five Joys
1. My old man and hell hound hanging out (Buddha & Chloe Okoye)
2. My guilty pleasure: little Caesar cheesy bread
3. Megan thee Stallion & RM(BTS) new song on repeat for me on Spotify
4. Just found out there are limited edition Apple Spice Bundt cakes
5. Enjoyed a nice cup of hibiscus tea
Saw this idea online and thought I could do that. Apple cider float with an apple cider donut from the local orchard and cool whip and caramel. You can also add chopped nuts but I was out.

And Boogeyman by Jeff Mariotte. Never reviewed... should read it again to give a fresh review 🤔.

Thanks @dabbe for creating this fun play-card & for the tag 👻📚😉👍💝.
Had a fun time re-discovering the tbr spooky books in my library while considering titles to submit.
Two that I submitted were read years ago, one of which began my reading love.
The third was one I read this year & has gone onto my list of favorites.

Tried some Malaysian for #foodandlit. The top left is Nasi Lemak, the national dish. It has coconut rice, curry chicken and fresh cucumber. The bottom is Penang Char kway Teow, stir fried flat noodles (hands down favorite). The tortilla looking bread is Roti and served with Prata the red soup with curry chicken and potatoes in it. Too spicy for me and kids. Also two spring rolls and the top middle is curry balls. 👇
I follow three sports teams-St Louis Cardinals, which is my favorite team of all time.
I also follow University of Missouri Football and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Pictured above is the Cardinals and Missouri mascots.

1- The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens was always fun. Was able to view The Gutenberg Bible when they had it exhibited.
2- 🤔 not sure I've read a book that is largely focused on a museum. The Bookwanderers by Anna James had a museum that was kinda in the background of the storyline🧐.

My tea has arrived for daily tea reviews in December
I've been away for a long while because...life. Hoping to stay active here for a while. I had a great August reading month. #augustwrapup Post 1/4 Happy Reading all!!! 🙃
For my birthday on this 105° F weather, the hubby surprised me with my favorite things. One of them was visiting this cute bookstore that is Latine owned. And yes, I bought a few books.

#witchathon will be held in October again. This is a low key no pressure readathon for the month of October. The only goal is to read one book in October related to witches, but feel free to read more. Tag her whenever you read a witchy book.
One of the many perks of homeschooling, dog snuggles during literature class.
The teenager who wakes up in time for breakfast gets to pick breakfast. The apple cider donuts at Dunkin are good. Reading this book for my IRL book club, they picked one last summer read.
Tea review - the new Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Chai Latte. I loved this. Very creamy and smooth with a little apple kick to it. Would definitely order again and liked it better than the pumpkin spice chai latte.
Another book haul today. My kids has a bookclub/literature class at Barnes and Noble (Divergent is this months book) and I was left unsupervised for 2.5 hrs in the store. Their amazing horror book display got me. I went to Sam‘s to get The Pumpkin Spice Cafe and The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore since they are sold out everywhere (and I walked out with a outdoor Christmas tree and deer yard decoration). Expensive to leave the house these this days.
Thanks for the tag @dabbe 😺
I got a 26/50
My favorites are Annie Wilkes, Jack Torrance, and Darth Vader with an honorable mention to Pinhead 🖤

I love the tiny house movement, and would one day like to try and live in a tiny house...which is almost laughable with all the books and craft supplies that I have 😂🤔.

Book haul from the grand opening. I got a free tote for being a member. My IRL book club is going to meet there next meeting.
Went to the grand opening of a new Barnes and Noble in town. It is one of their new smaller designed ones, looks more like an independent book store. Katherine Applegate cut the ribbon and signed books. She was lovely to talk too. I got three of her books signed.
Let me introduce our newest family member ❤️
Chloe Okoye aka hellhound aka crazy bone aka no no aka don‘t sit on Buddha.
She is a little over a year old, shelter/ rescue adoption, min pin/dachshund mix we think. Pure attitude! She has already made a jail break from her kennel a couple times. One time she opened up Buddha‘s. They were on the run in the house . She & Buddha are good. Mostly because Buddha is an old man. 😆
I‘m amazed that I‘ve had no DNF‘s this year and we only have 4 months to go!

I am so ready for apple cider donut season. This ice cream will have to tie me over for a few more weeks.
Murder Road was my favorite book this month. It was a real page turner. Also probably one of my all time favorite thrillers. Honorable mention to Lessons in Chemistry.
Once again I didn‘t like the monthly selections, so I picked a member favorite. I would have skipped but it is my birthday month and I earned the reading challenge prize.
Thanks for the tag @dabbe
This time, I got 45%, not a big drop, I had 59% last time.
My favorites were: The Big Chill, Fame, The Muppet Movie, and Hair 🧡
