If you ever wondered how Casey Anthony escaped justice, this is the book you are looking for. It is written by one of the prosecutors and provides an expert's view of both the evidence and case as a whole.

This is an excellent thriller. It is not a huge book, so it is very easy to read in a couple of days. Which is good considering it is almost impossible to put down! The story progresses slowly at first, but as the characters flaws, and the general dysfunction that surround, them build, the suspense cresendos sharply.

The excellent forward for this novel provides questions and observations that aid in both the enjoyment and study of the text. I have always had a love-hate relationship with the main character, as well as the some of the perspectives present in the novel. Scarlett's journey as a person is enthralling.
However, the story itself is a historical treasure trove of a bygone era that still haunts the present.
