An action story set on Mars. The main character is a super human, a designed and trained warrior meant to be woken up on spaceships in emergencies. The story has plenty of action and an interesting plot. I would have liked the author to write more stories with this character, as was done with Altered Carbon.
I'm just about to finish up Thin Air by Richard K. Morgan, having gone through most of his Sci-Fi novels. Planning to start on Neal Asher's Polity Universe next with Prador Moon. Would be interested in anyones thoughts on this series.
Exciting action story with a fun plot. Not as good as Morgan's Takeshi Kovacs or Market Forces books, but still a fun read if you enjoy this author.
I enjoyed the interesting plot and premise. I didnt enjoy the characters as much in this story though. Given how much the reader is told about Variant 13s, I just didn't feel the main character was a good representation of a 13. But this is a minor criticism of a enjoyable action story.
Overall, enjoyable. It is not the kind of book where an analysis of the premise or characters would be worthwhile, but a fun journey despite that.
It started a little slow but finishes at full speed.
Enjoyed the book. Good way to finish the series.
