I‘m digging this book. Can‘t put it down. I‘m only on page 30, and his life story is gripping.

This. Book. Is. Awesome! Adapted from her TED talk, this small, 52 page book takes about 20 minutes to read. I already believed a lot of what she spoke about, but she offered new insights as well!
I shared some book trailers and new books with my students last week. They seemed really interested in Before I Let Go. Has anyone read it? I can‘t wait to add these to my shelves!
I think I‘m a little obsessed with Sherman Alexie. This book is beautifully written. He is emotionally raw in some parts, hilarious in others. I never knew what life on an Indian reservation was like before reading this book. I am incorporating some of his poems and short stories into my senior course when we fall about race and identity. This is a must-read.

What a powerful statement about the importance of human kindness and non-sexual intimacy.
