I read this author‘s book Head Full of Ghosts earlier this year I really liked it. His ability to keep you guessing about whether there is something supernatural happening or whether it‘s psychological is compelling. However I just couldn‘t get into this one.

Just finished this audiobook. Started a little slow but once it got going I couldn‘t stop listening. The point of view was well done and interesting.

Another book that sounded good -family secrets and a creepy missing Goya painting that is rumored to cause death because of a demon living in it- but it just didn‘t do it for me. The character development was not there and pacing was off. Advance Reading Copy. 1/18 publication date.

Loved his debut novel The Birdbox so I am excited to start this one. Described as “A twisted take on the Sleeping Beauty myth...”. Great cover too.

While I liked the premise the execution was disappointing and the narrator was annoying.

Wow. What a creepy and intense read. Couldn‘t put it down.
