I'm not a big fan of contemporaries about middle-aged men (I thought this was more science fiction). Plus, I'd like to veto men from ever writing hetero sex scenes again. That said, this book is almost painfully photogenic

Okay, okay, I'm done for now but this book right here is so much better than the first book in the series and even better than the second (but with too little Magnus, thanks). Near the end, there's a beautiful series of about 100 pages that just blew me away.

This one's definitely better than the first book, but it's still sticking pretty hard to cliche. Plus the plot twist from the end of the first book is still holding on.

The worst book of the series so far, but it's definitely fun in that cliche, familiar way. Plus, Magnus Bane is beautiful an perfect.

I'm a little behind everyone in reading this, as goes my life, but it was a great thriller! Although it's no Gone Girl, I'd suggest picking this up if you like Gillian Flynn.
