What the world is up with the one first person and two third-person narrators? This is new to me.
This book takes readers on an emotional journey. I felt sad, hopeless, and angry. However, I also felt satisfied, happy, hopeful, comforted, relieved, and surprised.
I appreciated the characters Jumpin' and Mabel the most. They are the kindest and most caring towards Kya. I enjoyed the bond they shared with Kya as almost a parental unit to her. For example, Kya was able to confide in Mabel as a daughter would with her mother.
