Absolutely LOVED IT!!! I didn‘t know much about it except that it was the Pulitzer winner and after reading Eleanor Oliphant (amazing but intense and heart wrenching), this was the perfect following read. Well written and hilarious, I couldn‘t put it down. A breath of fresh air 💯

Not my favourite but still a fan of Liane. I knew there was a twist and kept reading for a while before I got to it. It could be a holiday read except that held my breath for the family of 3 for a lot of reasons.
My favourites out of all her books are still BLL and What Alice forgot

It reads like a scientific journal but has so much feeling trapped in all the facts. Very insightful and heartbreaking

Good morning to finish “The Wife”. I loved the movie and thought it was such a great story, that I bought the book. Sometimes things work out back to front I think!
I am savouring it despite knowing the plot twist 👌🏻

Guests usually take the train from London, nd before we pick them up at the station I remind Hugh that, for the duration of their visit, he and I will be playing the role of the perfect couple. This means no bickering and no contradicting each other (...) he is to place a hand on my shoulder, right on the spot where a parrot would perch

Liane is surrounded!!! We met the witty and lovely Liane at the Book event at our local Library. I had to be dragged out as I was "holding up the queue" 73 pages to go!

We met Jacqueline Harvey at the launch of her latest Clementine Rose book.
She was kind, chatty, had a big smile on and I had asked my little ones to think of a question to ask her.
I think it is these moments that nurture their little bookworm heart.
Perfect rainy day treat!

Loved this book! Better than "The Husband's secret" & a good summer read for our book club after "In cold blood" and "Fourth of July creek." This book is so North Shore!
For anyone in Sydney, she will be at Mosman Library on August 1. Event almost sold out!

I am going to see "Julieta " by Pedro Almodovar this week at The Sydney Film Festival and it is inspired on "Runaway".
I want to read the book first and see Pedro's take on it later.

He was the one who had chosen the name-The Violence, in English, not Swedish. And he was the one who unfortunately asked his girlfriend Isabella to sew the name of the motorcycle club onto ten newly stolen leather jackets (...).
Isabella sewed The Violins on the jackets instead (...) nobody noticed.
