#libraryhaul Another great trip to to the 50 cent section of the library!
Why does Moriarty write books that I don‘t want to read but also can‘t put down? She gives me anxiety! 😅😂 I actually feel guilty, I had things I had to get done, and yet I couldn‘t put this book down! Seriously I tell myself don‘t pick up her books, they stress you out, and here I am again! 😬🤪
Oops! Somehow I had it in my head round 2 started on the first!! #bfcr2 #bookfitnesschallenge here's hoping I remember better in the future...
I'm hoping this glorious #hufflepup keeps me honest (he really needs the daily walks) even when it's so hot out.
my tardy goals:
5k steps per day or gym workout
Meditate 10 min per day
Ummm I think that's all / enough since I've already forgotten once amiright 🤣
May the odd be ever in our favor!
This wasn‘t my favorite book by Liane Moriarty. I usually like her stuff, but this just felt so long. It took such a long time to get to the arc and the development was a bit boring. I think the characters were tough to like and in this situation it really made the book feel slower. I did like the idea and the story and the ending, just needed to be shorter, in my opinion.
A weekend without the kids meant a late Sunday breakfast of bacon & eggs followed by hrs laying on the beach reading. The water temp was perfect. Afterwards we shared a bottle of wine with caramelised onion and mushroom risotto that my partner Stew said was in the top 3 meals I‘ve ever cooked for him, an arvo sleep then a harp performance in the bar below my apartment. A wonderful weekend. I live for holidays. I started this on audio but switched.
2019 Book 8: School canceled today for ice! That means it‘s a book-reading, laundry-folding, coffee-drinking, warm-staying kind of day! ❄️❤️
This was a good story but the ending was a little anti-climactic. The characters were frustrating at times; the event at the barbecue wasn‘t what I was expecting.
Started this last night. I can already say I don't like it as much as Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers but I am flying through it. So there's that. #currentlyreading
The book has a lot of humor infused in it, and it also breaks your heart, all while you can't keep turning the page. I'm not saying it's the best book ever or anything, but it was definitely fun (I overuse that word!). I would recommend it.

Thift store book haul! Nine books for $8.32. I may not be supporting the authors but at least I'm supporting local charities. So, I feel good about that, especially the three from the the Catholic church charity shop because they helped me when I desperately needed it a few years ago. The Fear Street books are for my son and Twilight for my daughter.
Not my fav Moriarty, but I still love her characterization and the way people intersect.
The graphic is from this app Bookly...has anyone else used it? I kind of like it but I'm not willing to pay for it.
@erzascarletbookgasm I am terribly sorry for the delayed Thankyou. Here is a picture of Lila, me and Matilda on Christmas Eve at my parents farm in country Australia in front of their ‘tree‘
I just can't. This is the next neighborhood book club selection. I tried; but after 20% (roughly 3.5 hours of audio), I just knew it wasn't worth 17+ hours of investment. I'll miss seeing my neighbors.
Current Kindle/library read. And I‘m actually getting a chance to read at lunch, which never happens!!
My section tends to like to eat together but due to the amount of lab work I had this morning and meetings others had we didn‘t end up coordinating today.
But I‘m not complaining about getting reading time I don‘t normally get!
I love my #LitsyPenPal @That-Bookish-Hiker ♥️ She sent me this incredible box of goodies in our holiday exchange! I‘m so happy and I‘m so lucky! Thank you, Cristal!!!
I‘m about to put those slipper socks on and start reading!
Me throughout this book:
"Okay, so what the hell happened at the barbeque?!"
