This reminded me a bit of The Lovely Bones. I liked the writing and how it switched POVs. A portrait of complicated and charged family dynamics through generations.

As a fan of the original Oz series, I liked the concept of a completely reimagined Oz. At times, the writing can be over descriptive but then I remind myself that this is a YA book. A fun summer read.

Loved the writing style and was captivated by the beautiful imagery. Couldn't put this one down.
