This one is definitely one of my favorites. I'm not usually a fan of young adult or fantasy genres but this story is not only unusual and creative but for a literature buff it is rich in allegory and symbolism and therefore gives me lots of yummy ideas to chew and savor. Loved it.

I didn't see that coming. The ending turned this book on it's head.

Prepare your eyes for some leaking, your chin for some quivering and your heart for some aching and breaking. A deeply personal memoir of a Neurosurgeon confronted with his own mortality. Very human and raw and beautiful. I'm a better person for reading it.
