The Master & Margarita | Mikhail Bulgakov
Mehso-so

Personally loved this for its political and social commentary along with its surreal plot and seemingly nonsensical moments. If you're not a fan of metaphorical writing (or of people getting hit with chicken) this is most definitely not for you, but if you're willing to suspend your disbelief give it a try!

Pickpick

While I didn't enjoy the first part too much, I absolutely loved the second half of it, i was so interested in what was going to happen that I could barely stop reading long enough to underline passages.
My favourite parts of the book are Esther's relationships with people, specifically her mother. This is the first book to ever make me cry.
It is a tragedy that Plath died before being able to finish her second novel.

This is one of the only history books that I truly enjoyed, Kaplan's writing style is so full of life, it makes you feel as if you know the people present in the story. A journalistic/travelling way of explaining major events is so enjoyable! Definitely a worthy read, even for people that aren't interested in history

Much ADO about Nothing | William Shakespeare

I cannot manage to fall asleep so I started reading Much Ado About Nothing and I must say that it's easily one of the funniest books I've ever read. "he is easier caught than the pestilence" is such a mean and hilarious thing to say about someone

Cremations back then couldn't reach temperatures high enough to completely destroy a body, and the heart is protected by nearby organs, not to mention that the human body contains a lot of water, making it harder to burn. Is a poisoned heart actually fire proof? I've never heard of that before

The Eclogues depict rural life undisturbed by the complexity and corruption of more civilised life, Richard arguably gets "corrupted" by the group, the mention of this writing becoming foreshadowing for his situation

Could have Julian been aware of what they were doing later on? In that case he could've specifically guided them towards it
