Jack, the Giant-killer | Charles de Lint

Re-reading this, I was pleased to see that Jack remains an engaging and positive female hero. Written decades ago, when female heroes did not roam plentifully, DeLint led the way.

Toronto has a different side when you can see the Fae. And human eating giants in the park. Jack is dealing with boyfriend issues when she is drawn into a battle between good and evil & those who are neither.

DeLint always delivers a solid adventure!

Pickpick

This 5th Murderbot Diary continues the quest of our not-a-human SecBot in the world of crazy human antics. And, as it turns out, crazy non-human antics as well, when it is kidnapped, along with the daughter of Dr. Mensah, Murderbot's mentor and friend.
Excellent worldbuilding continues, the characters are great and (mostly) likeable, and the plot makes sense. I love this series, and recommend this book!
