Ok, if you loved The Hardy Boys, you are gonna LOVE “Hope Never Dies” by Andrew Shaffer! The Bromance LIVES! A great mystery peppered with much needed and definite tongue in cheek humor, this Hardy Boys 2.0 is an absolute MUST READ! Thank you @QuirkBooks worth it! July 10th release date!

“That man hadn‘t wanted to dance at first, and I made him, and then I booty popped him...and now he‘s dead! I felt just like a booty assassin.” Imagine if people were really killed by derrières! What would the world look like and would we be afraid to die???? Tiffany Haddish is just golden...

Very poignant story based on horrible events from a terrible decision made by someone who shouldn't have been in the job he was in. Reading this through the main character, Starr's eyes, allowed me to not only be immersed in what we see on the news but feel what she felt, see what she saw and lived in what had to be the worst time of anyone's life: losing a good friend. Read this! It's a new classic you will be upset you missed it if you don't!

I knew I was going to love this book when I related to this line: "Family Lunch. I'll take that coffee with splash. Garrie uncorked the Jameson's and poured a generous amount into the mug before adding coffee."

KateFulfordAuthor @MoLuv77 If you need another recommendation, may I point you to my People‘s Book Prize nominated debut? Sassy female narrative, laugh out dialogue and a pacy plot. Check the link in the bio for 2 free chapters, reviews and more. 6y
MoLuv77 @KateFulfordAuthor thank you for the recommendation! I look forward to it!!! 6y

"They just left him there...Like he ain't belong to nobody." That is the premise, unfortunately, of the American society we live in today and this book eloquently & widely explores this fact. Dr. Hill provides informative historical connections to the happenings of today & allows readers to critically examine the on-going pattern. If you don't open your eyes, mind & soul after reading this and want to helpfully incite change, you're dead inside.

You know it's an excellent book when you are a girl on the train and taking in a cold one like the main character...well not as much...🍺

SO EXCITED to start this in the upcoming weeks w/the bestie as I heard and read so many positive reviews! Even more excited I was able to scoop it from BJ's for almost half the price!

"...determined to make amends, to return to their former relationship, but first to attempt to map the boundaries of their estrangement."
Although I'm not done yet, this quote is a great description of the book. It provides insight into not only race but culture in a country that is not your own.

What isn't to LOVE about this book?! I'm a little (ok way late) on reading this but she was every bit of the 'nerd' girl I was in elementary school who transitioned into an amazingly hilarious and yes fashionable woman who never forgot the importance of Hello Kitty.
