“I shrug, the way you do when your words come out and they float there stupid on the breeze and you‘re not sure they mean anything to anybody else.”

It's always fun to go into a Patrick Ness book with an idea in your head and then have him switch and flip and turn it all about until the book is something completely different than what you were expecting. It's not exactly an action-packed thriller of a dragon story, but Ness never disappoints with the suspense, and I'm pleased with the story that turned out to be about humanity all along.
