This is the kinda book I could read on and on for 1000 pages. I love the epistolary format, and I liked that the fantasy element was almost an afterthought. I didn't mind all the references to scifi and fantasy books, some of which I'd never heard of.

8leagueboot This book is blowing up my TBR, big time. 7y
October_dream I had picked it for a fantasy book club I'm part of and everybody really enjoyed it. 7y

Welcome to Nightvale episodes vol 1 and vol 2 The Great Glowing Coils of the Universe. I don't buy books often but had to preorder these. They have french flaps, which I'm not crazy about but the covers are shiny and gorgeous.

Well, this happened today. Not reading it yet as I am only about 115 pgs into rereading Deathly Hallows.

Coolest/weirdest title/ cover art for a book I've seen for a while!

This took me longer to get into but it was pretty good. I liked Ready Player One much better, but I related to it more because I was more familiar with all the little references whereas I've never played this kind of alien fighter video game.

I was disappointed I didn't love this. I thoroughly enjoyed Monsters of Templeton and Arcadia and I looked forward to reading this. It just didn't work for me. I did NOT like the main characters and found parts of it boring. I'll say I did like the 2nd half better because it focused on the wife.
