Pickpick

Just like the last book, it's beautifully crafted and Magnus is no longer ignorant about the worlds around him, he's studied up a bit and keeps the commentary coming. With such a dramatic story, the end promises something great. Epic, even. It's going to be a long year.

I read this when it first came out but read the sequel recently and felt the need to share this one as well. Beautiful book that Riordan connects and intertwines with his other beautifully crafted books. He does not disappoint in this story of a new group of gods.

Fairy-Tale Detectives | Michael Buckley
Pickpick

A fleshed out world that draws upon the stories we know, except that the stories we know are the tales of Brothers Grimm, not the Disney version. Add the skepticism of Sabrina Grimm and a huge mystery right off the bat and you've got yourself a story!

Silence | Becca Fitzpatrick
Mehso-so

The worst part of this book is something I'm not saying to avoid spoilers, but it's obvious in chapter one that this book is going to be painful. But as a pro, this book is very good about letting the reader figure things out on their own. Unlike the other books, this one doesn't have a big twist ending, but that worked in this case and we finally got some very cute Patch/Nora moments that were few and far between in previous books.

Mehso-so

This book has the same problems as the first one with the added annoyance of Patch and Nora being dumb about each other, and the multiple cringe-worthy moments. But there's enough of a twist at the end, with actual hints along the way, that it's worth the read.

Linear Im not finished yet, but these are my thoughts exactly. 7y

Hush, Hush | Becca Fitzpatrick
Mehso-so

If there was a rating between pick and so-so I'd pick that. This is a great book but it's very slow to get into the actual plot of the book and it spends most of the book teasing and taunting without giving us any actual clues to figure it out ourselves. However, the story itself is cute and the end has enough twists to make up for the annoying not-really-clues.

Glass Sword | Victoria Aveyard

Started this around 12 and by 6 I'm 350 pages in. So far it's better than it's predecessor but it's not as riveting as most books I read, which explains the slow read of it so far.

Vampire Academy | Richelle Mead

While pursuing the internet I saw someone place Dimitri in Slytherin, which is the most wrong thing I have ever seen. Dimitri is a Hufflepuff and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.

Either @RichelleMead is a Harry Potter fan or "Always" just got a whole new, whole less creepy, meaning. Maybe both.

Picked this quote based on the fact that this woman is all of us if we met our favorite characters.

I'm starting to question why people think Rose and Dimitri are the ones who can't keep their hands off each other. I mean, Adrian and Sydney have had sex more times over the course of three chapters than Rose and Dimitri had in six books.

Abe Mazur: Moroi, Mobster, Badass. And now someone just looking out for his family. He's probably my favorite male character aside from Dimitri. (Although Adrian is a close third)

Less than 30 pages in and it's my favorite quote of the entire series.

I'm currently reading this book for the fourth time and I still get super emotional during it, especially after Shadow Kiss. If you are in anyway emotional, I suggest you read this in a room by yourself and with a box of tissues.

CompletelyCliche I love the whole series, it's completely superior to twilight and although blood promise is my least favorite in the series, this scene always gives me chills. 8y
